So, What Is A Fusion Wedding? - Part 1
You’re probably wondering what a “fusion wedding” is. I was too actually. After some very informative phone calls, I found out that it meant blending two different traditions into one celebration. Ritika, who is Indian, wanted a traditional Hindu wedding, while Kenny, who is Filipino, wanted the traditional Catholic/American ceremony. Instead of choosing one, they did both. The result was a four day party, with the last day featuring both ceremonies in a single day.
This celebration was equal parts challenging, exhausting, rewarding, and incredibly fulfilling. This is hands down, one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever gotten to have. So glad I got to photograph this.
This post will focus solely on the American/Catholic portion of the day, as there’s simply too much from the four days of celebrations to fit into a single blog. Stay tuned for Part 2, where I’ll cover the Hindu/Indian side of the festivities.
