They had their wedding at a beautiful outdoor venue deep within the swamps of Lafayette Louisiana. Lucky us because for once in the history of Louisiana, the weather actually worked out in our favor.

Everything about this Louisiana wedding was perfect. The detailed planning involved with this was far beyond the typical wedding. I have a bit of a confession, I think I may love photographing the small details of your wedding more than any other part. I guess it’s because those small details will never be the same for two couples. They are uniquely you, just as they should be.

Beaming with South Louisiana traditions, this wasn’t what I would call a boring wedding. The beautiful venue and even down to the guests in attendance made this wedding absolutely perfect. How could you go wrong with cajun music, Louisiana food, and dancing all night?

You don’t have to live in fear when planning an outdoor wedding. Just pay attention to things like the Farmer’s Almanac for weather patterns, look for venues that have a backup plan if it rains, and try to aim for an indoor reception to make things a little less stressful for you.
